I used to reside in Singapore and the place that I used to frequent when I was there was Wee Nam Kee Chicken Rice Restaurant. It was located at Novena ville and was opposite of Novena Church or St. Alphonsus Church. But, now It has moved to United Square Mall at Thomson Road. It is fully air con, cleaner and neater than the old place. It has several outlets in Singapore, but I only know the one in Novena.
The easiest way to get to United Square by public transportation is by MRT (Mass Rapid Train). You alight at Novena MRT Station, red line. Then, once you tap your MRT Card for exit, you turn right. You will see that there are several signs that bring you to 3 different places. If you take the stairs up on your right, it will bring you up to Velocity @Novena Mall and Novena church. To go to United Square Mall, you need to follow the middle sign, pointing United Square ahead. It leads you to an underground tunnel and at the end, there is an escalator to bring you up. Keep forward till you see United Square Mall just in front of you and you cross the road.
Once, I reached the restaurant, the friendly waitress gave us all wet tissues with the old address still written on it.
Overall, the meal was quite tasty. It's oily but I like oil. I was quite satisfied since they are always consistent in their flavor and taste.
The damage:
For me, Wee Nam Kee is always a place to go whenever I am in Singapore. So, among all chicken rice stalls and restaurants in Singapore, this one is a must try.

I ordered half roasted chicken, dumpling soup, chicken rice and an iced barley. It was a hot and humid day in Singapore, Iced barley really helped to quench my thirst.
