The interior in this centre is nicer than the one in Elang's branch. It looks warm, neater and cleaner. They are obviously following the mall's standard. The restaurant's sign board in front of the restaurant was still covered since according to the waiter that they are not officially opened yet.
The menu was placed on the table that was functioned as plate mat. A simple menu that is divided into type of dishes.
I've been to Fajar so many times since I was small. It used to be one of my favourite restaurants. So, I quickly ordered what I used to order.
The plain chicken rice was not as good as what I used to eat in other Fajar's branches. It was quite plain and lack of seasoning. |
The free soup that came with it however was good. I could taste the sweetness of the chicken stock mixed with the squash. |
The garlic steamed chicken was okay and up to their standard. |
The Chinese kale with beef was good. But look at the portion of the kale, it was so little. The good thing about this dish was the beef. It was tender and seasoned well. |
This was the sword lettuce with fried eel. The eel was crispy, but unfortunately the gravy was not up to my taste bud. It was again plain and tasted weird. So in the end, I only ate the eel. |

In conclusion, I was quite disappointed with the meals in this branch. However, I like the ambience that it gave to me which was clean and nice. But if I were to choose between this branch and the one in Elang, I might have to go with the latter since it tastes better.
